2 quite large men brought the new washer/dryer last night. It fits.

I’ve never had new appliances before –nice! New fridge comes Monday. It’s black. !!!

Cold weather busted new tankless hot water heater before I ever got to use it. Bummer. $100 to replace the part.

Crown moulding up as well — today’s task for me: finish painting the bedroom.

Geeking out with Furniture Plan

Gas meter hooked up yesterday. Stove now operational. Probably another few days to get hot water heater and back-up heat hooked up. But I can heat up a pan of water now!

New fridge comes next week.

Continuing to paint bedroom, clean, and do a little moving over the long weekend.

Floor work started Monday. Apparently they were kinda a bitch to sand. They smelled great!

Big shocker–they are also taking forever to dry. 3-day project becomes 10-day project.
So what else is new. Tile guy supposed to start this week in bathroom.
The floors are going to look great, though.
Sweet.

Day room with the first coat of sealer

Living room floors, still tacky 24 hours after first coat, but looking good!

Duke Energy came today and hooked me up! Real live, power, baby. No more temporaty pole.

Came into work with paint chips in my pocket. Painter is at the house listening to jazz and priming the ceilings.

Doug and Tito got busy on Sunday, big push towards final inspection and a Certificate of Occupancy soon!

The nice Fedex Lady brought the new door hardware yesterday -- it's pretty!

The nice Fedex Lady brought the new door hardware yesterday -- it's pretty!

Many large bundles of insulation arrived at 8am this morning, accompanied by very tall men carting it into the house. Where will it all go? I was overflowing the living room. All the remaining lath came out of the walls yesterday to make way for the insulation. Boy. There is a LOT of lath. It’s such nice wood, I’m hanging onto it for now, but its storage will prove to be an issue.

We're gonna need A LOT of crafts projects to get thru all this
